Toen kwam Vlaanderen in het vizier, want &#8220;ze lezen er ook Nederlands \u2013 of ze het spreken is nog wat anders\u201d, snel gevolgd door Noordrijn-Westfalen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dat de markt in Nederland stilaan een verzadigingspunt bereikt, blijkt ook uit enkele cijfers die Van der Laan meedeelde: <strong>90% van de Nederlandse gezinnen koopt bij Albert Heijn<\/strong> en de warenhuisketen heeft er vandaag zo\u2019n 900 winkels, waarvan 255 in franchise. Weldra komen er daar nog 43 bij, van zodra de transformatie van alle overgenomen Jumbo\u2019s tot AH-winkels is afgerond.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Omzet per vierkante meter belangrijkst<\/h2>\n<p>Volgens de topman is de <strong>grote sterkte van Albert Heijn de <\/strong><strong>omzet die het per vierkante meter haalt<\/strong>. \u201cEen AH-supermarkt telt gemiddeld 16.000 \u00e0 17.000 artikelen op vaak beperkte oppervlaktes. De rotatie is heel hoog en we kunnen ontz\u00e9ttend snel \u2018replenishen\u2019. Op dat vlak zijn we wellicht zelfs wereldrecordhouder\u201d, meende hij. 65% van de omzet bestaat overigens uit de eigen huismerken, liet de CEO trots weten.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Als groeipolen ziet Albert Heijn op de thuismarkt het kleinere \u2018AH to go\u2019-formaat en ook de online markt. Zo beklemtoonde de topman dat de (wederzijdse) <strong>integratie tussen Bol.com en Albert Heijn nog volop aan de gang<\/strong> is \u2013 zoals ook het kersverse <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.retaildetail.nl\/nederland\/nl-food\/item\/15413-ah-test-bolcom-touchscreen-in-supermarkt\" rel=\"noopener\">proefproject met een virtueel boekenrek in AH-winkels<\/a> bewijst \u2013 en dat de afhaalpunten voor online bestelde boodschappen veel succes kennen. Het afhaalpunt in Tilburg zou bijvoorbeeld een weekomzet van 70.000 tot 80.000 euro realiseren.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>\u201cMooi op koers in Belgi\u00eb\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>In Belgi\u00eb ligt Albert Heijn ondertussen naar eigen zeggen op koers. Het vooropgestelde doel om <strong>tegen 2016 minstens vijftig winkelpunten<\/strong> in het land te hebben, zal volgens de topman zeker bereikt worden. Recent werd ook al de <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"nl\/vastgoed\/item\/17042-eerste-limburgse-albert-heijn-geopend-in-sint-truiden\" rel=\"noopener\">kaap van duizend medewerkers gerond<\/a>: zij worden per winkelpunt overigens geselecteerd om de \u201cdiversiteit in de buurt\u201d te representeren.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Albert Heijn maakt zich ook sterk zijn medewerkers op te leiden om <strong>meer persoonlijke service in het Belgische supermarktlandschap binnen te brengen<\/strong>: \u201cIn Nederland stappen medewerkers veel sneller op de klant af, dat proberen we er ook hier in te brengen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ook het concept van supermarkten zonder parkeergelegenheid probeert Albert Heijn naar eigen zeggen bij de Belgen te introduceren.
