Samen met de uitbraak van het virus zijn immers trends naar de oppervlakte gekomen die al langer onderhuids op de loer lagen. En dat is lang niet allemaal slecht nieuws: \u201cWe zullen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raconteur.net\/retail\/6-future-retail-trends\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">onze eigen versie van de Roaring 20\u2019s<\/a> ervaren\u201d, zegt Natalie Berg, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/nl\/news\/algemeen\/%E2%80%9Camazon-op-een-keerpunt-winkels-zijn-de-toekomst-van-e-commerce%E2%80%9D-natalie-berg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">retail-analiste en <strong>Amazon<\/strong>-experte<\/a>, aan Raconteur.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nIn eerste instantie zullen we volgend jaar allemaal weer zin hebben om (fysiek) te gaan shoppen, ook al zal dat niet meer overal kunnen. Middelmatige spelers overleven de crisis niet en er zullen \u201cminder, maar veel betere winkels\u201d in de plaats komen, meent Berg onverbiddelijk. Die vernieuwde bakstenen winkels zullen een sterke, zintuigelijke ervaring bieden.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Retailers doen zelf de boodschappen<\/h2>\n<p>De pandemie heeft bestaande trends versneld, omdat veel bedrijven nieuwe diensten en technologie\u00ebn zijn gaan gebruiken. Zelfs kleine bedrijven werden gedwongen om digitale platforms te ontwikkelen, betalingen in de winkel gebeuren met een \u2018swipe\u2019 en bestellingen worden rondgefietst, -gereden of -gevlogen. Die \u2018seamless\u2019 ervaring zal snel verder uitbreiden en de gewoonste zaak ter wereld worden.<\/p>\n<p>\nOndertussen draait ook de personalisatiemotor op volle toeren: aangezien retailers en merken in die contactloze wereld over steeds meer data beschikken, komt de tijd van echte hyperpersonalisatie snel dichtbij. \u201c2021 toont ons de toekomst waarin retailers de boodschappen voor de klant doen\u201d, gelooft Riyadh Bhyat, hoofd van Quantium in Europa, het Midden-Oosten en Afrika. In de fashion zullen retailers bijvoorbeeld zelf al de kledingstukken selecteren die perfect passen, met dank aan bodyscans.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Nike en Starbucks zijn klaar voor 2025<\/h2>\n<p>Tegen 2025 hertekenen die evoluties zowel de fysieke handel als de e-commerce, zodanig dat beide naar elkaar toe groeien. In het begin van het decennium was e-commerce er vooral voor gemak en effici\u00ebntie, maar volgens Berg zal onlineshoppen ook een meer boeiende en meeslepende ervaring worden. \u201cTijdens de lockdown hebben retailers de noodzaak ingezien om consumenten ook online in contact te brengen met het personeel in de winkel\u201d, ziet Berg, en dat opent de deur naar meer service, differentiatie en grotere klantengetrouwheid.<\/p>\n<p>\nHet leidt tot een \u2018blended\u2019 retail-ervaring, waarbij niet alleen online en offline elkaar vinden, maar ook verschillende retailers en dienstverleners gaan samenwerken. Kanaiya Parekh, retaildeskundige bij Bain &amp; Company noemt <strong>Starbucks <\/strong>en <strong>Nike <\/strong>als voorbeelden van \u201cde winkel van 2025\u201d: naast de rol als verkooppunt, zijn die winkels ook belevingscentra en merkshowroom, \u00e9n ook nog eens onlinefulfilmentcenters.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>AI berekent vraag \u00e9n aanbod<\/h2>\n<p>Op het vlak van fulfilment en toeleveringsketens zal artifici\u00eble intelligentie de toon zetten, door tegen 2030 zowel de vraag als het aanbod te berekenen. Het betekent minder overschotten en minder afval, wat het milieu ten goede moet komen. Zelfs de altijd gevoelige onderhandelingen tussen leveranciers en retailers zal zich dankzij AI automatiseren via gesloten, digitale business-to-businessmarktplaatsen.<\/p>\n<p>\nVoor de consument breekt \u2018social commerce\u2019 helemaal door: tegen 2030 kan iedereen via sociale media shoppen, waarbij slimme chatbots het wachten op de klantenservice vervangen en de \u2018shopping experience\u2019 volledig op maat van de gebruiker zelf wordt afgestemd. \u201cVirtual reality wordt een deel van de shopbeleving en drones zijn dan gewoon een van de leveringsopties\u201d, verwacht Bhyat nog.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Covid-19 was nog maar het tipje van de sluier: de jaren \u201920 worden een decennium vol disruptie.
