Tegen 2025 komt er volgens die studie een verdubbeling voor private labels, die nochtans niet ten koste zal gaan van A-merken. Wel zal een grootscheepse consolidatie binnen de markt van private labels optreden.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Om de kosten te verlagen en productiecapaciteit te vergroten zullen private labelfabrikanten andere fabrikanten moeten overnemen. Daarnaast moeten ze er ook voor zorgen dat ze minder afhankelijk worden van hun bestaande klanten. Aan beide kanten van de waardeketen zullen met behulp van consolidatie dus synergie\u00ebn plaatsvinden.<\/p>\n<h2>\n<br \/>\nNiet ten koste van A-merken<\/h2>\n<p>Volgens het rapport van Rabobank behouden de A-merken hun goede positie wel. Zij blijven voor de retailer, en bijgevolg ook voor de consument, het referentiepunt voor prijzen. Zelfs op het gebied van kwaliteit en productassortiment wordt verwacht dat nationale merken een ankerfunctie behouden. Daarom ziet het er niet naar uit dat\u00a0distributeurs hun huismerken uit zullen bouwen ten koste van A-merken.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Vooral in Oost-Europa kunnen de A-merken nog een stevige groei realiseren. Rabobank noemt private labels en merkproducten dan ook een \u201condeelbare combinatie\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Als de private labels zo gaan groeien, is dat vooral slecht nieuws voor de B-merken.
