De verkoopprijzen stonden wel onder druk.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Stijgende penetratie<\/h2>\n<p>In crisistijden grijpen consumenten terug naar sterke merken, zo verklaarden verschillende merkfabrikanten hun sterke retailverkopen sinds de uitbraak van de coronapandemie. Voor een spectaculaire ommekeer heeft de gezondheidscrisis echter niet gezorgd: de huismerken van de Europese foodretailers hebben ook vorig jaar hun hoge marktaandeel weten te behouden. In bijna de helft van de Europese landen heeft private label een volumeaandeel van meer dan 40 procent, en in de meeste landen steeg de penetratie. In slechts twee Europese landen bedraagt het volumeaandeel minder dan 30 procent: Turkije en Itali\u00eb. Dat blijkt uit <a href=\"https:\/\/yearbook.plmainternational.com\/\">de nieuwste editie van het International Private Label Yearbook<\/a>, een uitgave van PLMA (de associatie van de huismerkfabrikanten) en onderzoeksbureau Nielsen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Daling in Belgi\u00eb, groei in Nederland<\/h2>\n<p>Spanje nam vorig jaar de koppositie over van Zwitserland: private label heeft er nu een aandeel van 49,7 procent. Zwitserland staat op de tweede plaats met 49,5 procent, gevolgd door het VK (46,8 procent), Portugal (45,1 procent) en Belgi\u00eb, waar het aandeel licht daalde van 44,0 naar 43,4 procent in volume. In waarde daalde het marktaandeel in Belgi\u00eb van 31,6 naar 30,6 procent. De achteruitgang is volgens Nielsen te verklaren door een dalende verkoop van snoepgoed en snacks. In Nederland was er een lichte groei naar 37,1 procent marktaandeel in volume, maar het aandeel in waarde daalde wel licht van 33,3 naar 32,8 procent. Die trend zien we in meer landen: er stond toch wat druk op de prijzen.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>De sterkste groei werd gemeten in Hongarije, Portugal en Zweden.
