Toch denkt onder meer Gino Van Ossel daar anders over: de\u00a0Vlerickprofessor omschrijft het omslachtige \u2018omnichannel\u2019 graag kort en bondig als &#8220;customer-centric commerce&#8221;:<strong> retail waarbij de klant de touwtjes in handen heeft<\/strong> en waarbij hij zelf beslist wanneer en waarvoor hij welk kanaal of welk toestel gebruikt.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Daarmee is ook meteen het grote verschil ten opzichte van alle andere modellen (mono-, multi- en crosschannel) aangeduid: <strong>historisch was het altijd de retailer die de controle had<\/strong> over de interactie met de klant, en dan traditioneel nog via zijn eigen en enige verkoopkanaal, meer bepaald de winkel(s).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Meer toegevoegde waarde<\/h2>\n<p>Sinds de opkomst van het internet zijn daar echter <strong>steeds meer \u2018touch points\u2019 bijgekomen<\/strong>, zoals de webshop, mobiele applicaties, interactieve folders en ga zo maar door. Dat leidde eerst tot een aanpak waarbij al deze kanalen naast elkaar bestaan (multichannel) en vervolgens tot het inzicht dat het belangrijk is om de verschillende verkoopkanalen in elkaar te integreren (crosschannel).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In wezen werd zo nog steeds vanuit de retailer \u2013 en zijn respectievelijke kanalen \u2013 gedacht, en dat is waar omnichannel in het plaatje komt: \u201cVelen noemen omni-channel de toekomst van retail, omdat het de<strong> klant meer toegevoegde waarde biedt dan zuivere e-commerce.<\/strong> Ze verenigt het beste van de online en offline werelden, zodat de klant niet tussen beide hoeft te kiezen\u201d, aldus Gino Van Ossel op het Vlerick Retail Platform van 28 oktober 2013.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Wanneer wordt uw organisatie volwassen?<\/h2>\n<p>Maar wat speelt er nu eigenlijk allemaal mee in een omnichannelstrategie en wat zijn de voornaamste factoren om mee rekening te houden? Het <strong>Digital Maturity Model dat Cegeka heeft opgesteld<\/strong>, vertelt het u en brengt het bovendien overzichtelijk in beeld. De Universiteit Gent voert namelijk een onderzoek uit in opdracht van Cegeka naar de integratie van communicatieplatformen bij bedrijven.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hun digitale maturiteitsmodel geeft een indicatie van hoe bedrijven het binnen de digitale ruimte doen. Iedereen praat immers wel over het centraal stellen van de klant, maar <strong>hoe ver staan Belgische bedrijven daar eigenlijk concreet mee?<\/strong> Hoe single-, multi- of omnichannel communiceren ze? Om te weten op welk niveau bedrijven zich bevinden, categoriseren de onderzoekers ze in drie stadia: \u2018single channel\u2019-beginnelingen, gevorderde gedigitaliseerde multichannelspelers en volledig ge\u00efntegreerde omnichanelorganisaties.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Wie waaronder valt, wordt bepaald aan de hand van vijf factoren, die na onderzoek <strong>cruciaal blijken om de digitale maturiteit van een bedrijf te meten<\/strong>. Je bent volgens de onderzoekers immers pas een volwaardige omnichannelorganisatie als:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>je visie en<strong> strategie volledig op de consument<\/strong> gericht is,<\/li>\n<li>er <strong>tussen alle kanalen doorgedreven samenwerking<\/strong> is,<\/li>\n<li>de conversatie met je (ge\u00efdentificeerde) klant <strong>naadloos wordt gevoerd overheen alle kanalen<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>je <strong>gebruik maakt van \u2018big data\u2019<\/strong> en die ook als basis gebruikt voor beslissingen,<\/li>\n<li>en al die data ook verwerkt worden in en door de <strong>meest up-to-date tools en technologie\u00ebn<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Mis de boot niet<\/h2>\n<p>Wil u zelf een overzicht van waar u en uw concurrenten staan in deze maturiteitsmatrix?
