De reis- en evenementensector ziet een sterk herstel nu het leven normaliseert, en ook de uitgaven voor voeding zitten in de lift. Toch ziet de pakjessector een vertraging.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Reizen en evenementen<\/h2>\n<p>In totaal gaven alle Belgen samen 5,56\u00a0miljard euro uit aan online aankopen in de eerste helft van dit jaar. Dat is een flinke stijging vergeleken met de eerste helft van vorig jaar, toen de bestedingen 5,1\u00a0miljard bedroegen. E\u00e9n en ander blijkt uit de Market Monitor van BeCommerce.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDe coronapandemie en de bijbehorende sluiting van fysieke winkels zorgden voor een extra boost\u201d, zegt directeur Sofie Geeroms van BeCommerce. \u201cHet is fijn om te zien dat die trend zich blijft doorzetten nu het gewone leven opnieuw op gang komt. Zo ging het laatste kwartaal 37% van alle online uitgaven naar diensten &#8211; zoals reizen en evenementen.\u201d Die categorie kreeg vorig jaar klappen door de coronabeperkingen, maar ziet nu herstel. De drie grootste categorie\u00ebn blijven dan ook ongewijzigd: vliegtickets, tickets voor attracties en evenementen, en pakketreizen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Voeding groeit, maar blijft klein<\/h2>\n<p>De categorie Food\/Nearfood (voedingsproducten, huishoudproducten, dierenvoeding\u2026) zag de omzet in het tweede kwartaal stijgen met 51% vergeleken met diezelfde periode vorig jaar. Het aandeel in de uitgaven verdubbelde, van 2% in 2020 tot 4% in 2021. Geeroms ziet hier nog veel groeipotentieel: \u201cVergeleken met andere Europese landen hinken de Belgische voedingswinkels hier nog wat achterop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Het gemak van thuis bestellen blijft de belangrijkste reden om online te shoppen, de verzendkosten blijven de belangrijkste drempel voor de helft van de consumenten. E\u00e9n vierde van de aankopen gebeurt met de smartphone: het gaat dan vooral om kleinere aankopen en impulsaankopen. De desktop en vooral de laptop (38% van alle online aankopen) worden gebruikt voor de duurdere aankopen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bancontact blijft het populairste betaalmiddel, goed voor vier op de tien online uitgaven. De kredietkaart blijft nummer twee en is de eerste keuze van de consument voor duurdere aankopen. Op nummer drie staat PayPal, goed voor een tiende van de uitgaven online. Een derde gebruikte minstens een keer PayPal het afgelopen kwartaal.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>\u201cGeen explosieve toename meer\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>De cijfers van BeCommerce worden wel genuanceerd door de pakjesbezorgers: die zien namelijk dat de grote drukte van het coronajaar\u00a02020 nu wel voorbij is. \u201cDe volumes liggen nog altijd iets hoger dan in\u00a02019, het laatste jaar voor corona, maar van de explosieve toename zoals in\u00a02020, met dubbele groeicijfers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standaard.be\/cnt\/dmf20210913_97723131\">is geen sprake meer<\/a>\u201d, zegt Frank Jahn van DPD Belux in De Standaard. Bpost ziet een slappe zomer en had een sterkere groei verwacht, PostNL stelt als enige dat de eerder behaalde groei stabiel blijft.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Onlogisch is die evolutie niet: tijdens de lockdowns kochten consumenten zowat alles online, intussen hebben ze de fysieke winkel herontdekt. Bovendien besteden mensen opnieuw geld in de horeca en op evenementen.
