Kinderen haken immers op steeds jongere leeftijd af.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Nostalgie<\/h2>\n<p>Vorig jaar tastte Playmobil de markt voor volwassenen al even af, met de lancering van de DeLorean-tijdmachine uit de filmtrilogie Back to the Future. Het concept sloeg aan, waarna de bekende speelgoedfabrikant besliste om een hele reeks nieuwe dozen gericht op volwassenen op de markt te brengen. \u201cHet gaat om licenties uit reeksen die voor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nieuwsblad.be\/cnt\/dmf20211006_96637759\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nostalgische gevoelens<\/a> zorgen, zoals James Bond, The A-Team of Star Trek\u201d, legt accountmanager Olivier Goris uit in Het Nieuwsblad. \u201cMaar ook iconische wagens zoals de Volkswagen Kever. Daarmee mikken we op de verzamelmarkt bij volwassenen. Wat niet wegneemt dat kinderen er ook mee kunnen spelen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Met de volwassenenlijn volgt Playmobil het voorbeeld van die andere speelgoedreus, <strong>Lego<\/strong>, dat eerder al met veel succes grote bouwdozen rond Star Wars introduceerde. \u201cEr is zelfs een belangrijke community van verzamelaars rond ontstaan die ze enkel kopen om bij te houden en dus niet om mee te spelen\u201d, zegt Jan Foblets, algemeen directeur van speelgoedketen <strong>Fun<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Krimpende afzetmarkt<\/h2>\n<p>Playmobil zelf geeft aan dat de klassieke afzetmarkt krimpt, omdat kinderen op steeds jongere leeftijd voor iets anders kiezen. \u201cVroeger grepen kinderen op hun vijftiende zelfs nog naar Playmobil. Nu voelen we dat die limiet al op tien \u00e0 elf jaar ligt. Dus moet je nadenken over hoe je mensen daarna ook nog aan je bindt. Zo kom je bij de markt van volwassenen\u201d, zegt Goris.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Foblets wijst er dan weer op dat de volwassenenmarkt voor speelgoedfabrikanten erg lucratief kan zijn, omdat ze over een eigen budget beschikken. Kinderen daarentegen zijn afhankelijk van hun ouders.
