Er zijn momenteel nauwelijks overstocks en dus moet het e-commercebedrijf zijn bedrijfsmodel aanpassen.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>3,8 miljard euro<\/h2>\n<p>Veepee werd twintig jaar geleden opgericht door Jacques-Antoine Granjon. Het bedrijf legde zich aanvankelijk uitsluitend toe op de online verkoop van kledingoverschotten, maar inmiddels is het destockagemodel ook uitgebreid naar een een heleboel andere producten zoals consumentengoederen, elektronica en wijnen. Na een reeks overnames, waaronder <strong>Vente-Exclusive<\/strong> in Belgi\u00eb, is de onderneming nu actief in acht landen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In 2020 steeg de globale omzet van Veepee met 8% naar 3,8\u00a0miljard euro, en dat was vooral te danken aan de coronacrisis en de gedwongen winkelsluitingen die er het gevolg van waren. \u201cMensen kochten meer op het internet en de winkels zaten opgescheept met grote overschotten. Wij hebben onmiddellijk beslist dat we hen zouden helpen door die stocks over te kopen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tijd.be\/ondernemen\/algemeen\/rockster-van-e-commerce-moet-zalando-en-co-voor-blijven\/10341157.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dankzij ons konden veel merken de crisis overleven<\/a>\u201d, zegt Granjon in De Tijd.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Geen overschotten<\/h2>\n<p>De toekomst dient zich echter een stuk moeilijker aan: door de wereldwijde transport- en grondstoffencrisis is het voor Veepee veel moeilijker om aan overstocks te geraken, want ze zijn er nauwelijks. \u201cHun overblijvende voorraden gaan ook niet langer alleen naar ons, maar vooral naar de stenen winkels, die weer open zijn. Of naar hun eigen webwinkels, die sinds de e-commerceboom meer prioriteit krijgen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Voor dit jaar verwacht Granjon nog een stabiele omzet. Door de wereldwijde voorraadproblemen zal 2022 echter wel erg lastig worden.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Alledaagse producten<\/h2>\n<p>Het hoeft dan ook niet te verwonderen dat Veepee minder afhankelijk wil worden van de stockverkoop: alledaagse producten zoals droge voeding, drank en verzorgingsproducten worden belangrijker. Verder wil het bedrijf ook meer reizen verkopen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Volgens Granjon blijft de stockverkoop niettemin het allerbelangrijkste. Vreest hij de concurrentie dan niet van <strong>bol.com<\/strong> en <strong>Amazon<\/strong>, die zich via hun partnerverkopers ook steeds sterker op dat segment richten? \u201cNaar hen surfen klanten omdat ze iets specifieks nodig hebben. Naar ons komen ze om zich te laten verrassen.
