De groei vertraagde en het onlinemodeplatform moest consumenten dit najaar met kortingen teruglokken.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Concurrenti\u00eble modemarkt<\/h2>\n<p>Zalando kan zijn spectaculaire coronagroei niet volhouden nu het fysieke leven herneemt. In het voorbije derde kwartaal haalde de Duitse onlineretailer een omzetgroei van 23%, in het tweede kwartaal was er nog een groei van 40%. De omzet klokte af op 2,3 miljard euro, net meer dan analisten verwachtten.<\/p>\n<p>\nHet bedrijf heeft het over een erg concurrenti\u00eble modemarkt, met veel prijsacties om mensen na de pandemie weer aan het shoppen te krijgen. Ook Zalando moest daardoor meer uitgeven aan kortingen en marketing. Het e-commerceplatform ging tegelijkertijd van start in zes nieuwe markten in Oost-Europa.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>In het rood<\/h2>\n<p>In het derde kwartaal telde het platform 46,3 miljoen actieve gebruikers, toch flink meer dan de 35,6 miljoen gebruikers in dezelfde periode van 2020. Het aantal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nu.nl\/economie\/6165694\/zalando-groeit-minder-omstuimig-doordat-winkels-weer-open-zijn.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bestellingen steeg met bijna 27%<\/a>, het aantal onlinebezoekers groeide van 1,27 miljard naar 1,7 miljard mensen.<\/p>\n<p>\nTegelijkertijd steeg weliswaar het verlies: een operationele winst van 9,8 miljoen euro komt onder de streep neer op een nettoverlies van 8,4 miljoen euro. Een jaar eerder was er nog een nettowinst van 58,5 miljoen euro. \u201cOndanks de toenemende inflatie en onzekerheden in de toeleveringsketen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/cop\/zalando-profits-dip-stores-reopen-lockdowns-2021-11-03\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blijven wij vol vertrouwen<\/a> dat we onze verhoogde vooruitzichten voor het volledige jaar kunnen realiseren\u201d, stelt David Schroeder, hoofd financi\u00ebn, gerust.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Plus-lidmaatschap<\/h2>\n<p>Zalando stort zich ook op de \u2018rundle\u2019, de nieuwe favoriet van de retail: voortaan kunnen ook Nederlandse klanten <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emerce.nl\/nieuws\/zalando-introduceert-pluslidmaatschap-nederland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">een Plus-lidmaatschap nemen<\/a>, wat hen voor bijna 10 euro per jaar recht geeft op expressbezorging en een ophaalservice voor retours. Ze krijgen ook exclusieve toegang tot limited edition-items en designerstukken.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nVan <strong>Albert Heijn <\/strong>tot <strong>Fnac Darty<\/strong>, bijna elke groot consumentenbedrijf lanceert tegenwoordig zo\u2019n abonnementsmodel. Die \u2018rundles\u2019 of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.profgalloway.com\/lets-get-ready-to-rundle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018recurring revenue bundles\u2019<\/a>, zoals professor Scott Galloway ze noemt, bieden retailers het voordeel van vaste inkomsten, extra trouwe klanten en bijkomende data over consumenten.
