Hoe zo\u2019n samenwerking er concreet moet uitzien, vraagt u zich af?<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Voeding online blijft verlieslatend<\/h2>\n<p>Tegen\u00a02025 moet e-commerce bij Ahold Delhaize niet alleen in omzet verdubbelen, maar ook winstgevend worden. Voor webplatform <strong>bol.com<\/strong> is dat vandaag al het geval: de bruto bedrijfswinst zou dit jaar tussen de 150 en de 170\u00a0miljoen euro bedragen, op een omzet van wellicht 5,5 miljard euro. De onlineverkopen van voeding bij <strong>Delhaize<\/strong> en <strong>Albert Heijn<\/strong> blijven echter nog verlieslatend. Qua logistiek is het bezorgen van (verse) voeding immers veel complexer en dus ook duurder. Bovendien zijn de marges in de zeer concurrenti\u00eble foodmarkt miniem.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Schaalvergroting en automatisering kunnen een deel van de oplossing zijn, maar de retailgroep denkt ook dat een nauwere samenwerking tussen de twee supermarktketens en bol.com de rentabiliteit op termijn kan verbeteren. Ook al zijn er grote verschillen tussen voeding en non-food, toch is er meer synergie mogelijk, stelde Europees topman Wouter Kolk maandag op de (virtuele) investeerdersdag van Ahold Delhaize.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Inzetten op cross-selling<\/h2>\n<p>Hoe zo\u2019n samenwerking er concreet zou kunnen uitzien? Kolk bleef wat op de vlakte, maar denkt onder andere aan marketinginitiatieven als een gedeeld getrouwheidsprogramma, waarbij klanten punten of beloningen kunnen sparen over de verschillende merken heen. Ook wil hij sterker inzetten op cross-selling: klanten die bijvoorbeeld online barbecuevlees bestellen bij Delhaize, zouden dan een aanbieding voor een barbecuestel te zien krijgen van bol.com.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ook op logistiek vlak kan de samenwerking naar een hoger niveau. Vandaag kunnen klanten van bol.com hun pakjes desgewenst al afhalen in de fysieke winkels van Delhaize en Albert Heijn. Kolk wil onderzoeken of de bestelwagens waarmee beide supermarktketens de boodschappen bezorgen, ook retourzendingen voor bol.com kunnen meenemen. Er volgt een pilootproject.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Evenwichtsoefening<\/h2>\n<p>Enkele initiatieven lopen al: zo kunnen klanten van Delhaize sinds enige tijd hun gespaarde SuperPlus-punten inruilen voor waardebonnen bij bol.com. Recent lanceerde Albert Heijn in Nederland het omnichannelabonnement \u2018Mijn Albert Heijn Premium\u2019, dat shoppers niet alleen korting belooft in de supermarkt maar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/nl\/news\/food\/albert-heijn-lanceert-nieuw-%E2%80%98omnichannel%E2%80%99-abonnement\">ook bij andere merken van de groep<\/a>, zoals de <strong>Gall &amp; Gall<\/strong> slijterijen of het Select-lidmaatschap van bol.com.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Het wordt hoe dan ook een moeilijke evenwichtsoefening, want de drie merken moeten ook binnen een Ahold Delhaize-ecosysteem hun eigenheid bewaren. Vaak zijn ze lokaal ook concurrenten van elkaar \u2013 dat geldt alleszins voor Delhaize en Albert Heijn in Vlaanderen. Maar in de groeiambities van de retailgroep speelt online een sleutelrol: tegen\u00a02025 moet de omzet groeien van 75\u00a0naar 85\u00a0miljard euro, en de helft van die tien miljard groei moet uit e-commerce komen. Vandaar ook het plan om (een stukje van) bol.com <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/nl\/news\/algemeen\/beursgang-bolcom-de-maak\">naar de beurs te brengen<\/a>: zo kan de groep extra kapitaal ophalen om die groei te financieren. Momenteel is het beursklimaat dan wel niet gunstig voor e-commercespelers, maar als Ahold Delhaize kan bewijzen dat het zijn onlineactiviteiten wel degelijk winstgevend krijgt, verandert dat mogelijk het sentiment.
