De groep bouwt daarmee verder op het succes van de <strong>Nespresso<\/strong> koffiepads en de <strong>Purina<\/strong> dierenvoeding, die steeds vaker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/retail-consumer\/nestle-aims-generate-quarter-total-sales-e-commerce-by-2025-2021-11-17\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rechtstreeks aan consumenten<\/a> worden verkocht via eigen webshops.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We zijn van plan om de onlineverkoop van ongeveer 13% in 2020 naar 25% in 2025 te brengen,&#8221; zei Bernard Meunier, hoofd van Nestl\u00e9&#8217;s strategische business units, marketing en verkoop. Het bedrijf zal de investeringen in digitale marketing daartoe fors verhogen. Over de omvang van de investering is verder niets bekend, maar Nestl\u00e9 beklemtoonde wel de kosten via eigen middelen en besparingen te kunnen dragen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Vorig jaar boekte de voedingsreus een totale omzet van omgerekend 80,2 miljard euro. Tijdens de eerste negen maanden van 2021 nam het aandeel van de e-commerce in de globale omzet toe tot 14,1%, tegenover 12,8% een jaar eerder.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Dataverzameling<\/h2>\n<p>Een van de redenen waarom grote (voedings)bedrijven hun producten rechtstreeks aan consumenten proberen te verkopen, is om gegevens over winkelgewoonten te verzamelen. <strong>Apple<\/strong> en <strong>Google<\/strong> hebben al maatregelen genomen om te voorkomen dat adverteerders gebruikersgegevens traceren zonder hun toestemming, en bijgevolg zoeken bedrijven andere manieren om aan data te komen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Nestl\u00e9 zei dat zijn investering 400 miljoen \u2018first-party datapunten\u2019 zou opleveren &#8211; informatie die rechtstreeks van consumenten is verzameld.
