Dat is het doel van de Isra\u00eblische start-up <strong>Redefine Meat<\/strong>, dat met zijn vleesvervangers het grootste vleesbedrijf ter wereld wil worden.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Fabriek opent in Nederland<\/h2>\n<p>Redefine Meat heeft het startschot gegeven voor zijn Europese expansie. Het jonge Isra\u00eblische bedrijf beweert een revolutionair vleesalternatief te hebben gevonden, dat noch qua textuur noch qua smaak te onderscheiden is van rundbiefstuk. De vegetarische biefstukken rollen uit de 3D-printer, waar spierweefsel, vetweefsel en bloed zo zorgvuldig mogelijk worden ge\u00efmiteerd met soja, erwten, biet en kokosvet als ingredi\u00ebnten.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nOp dit moment wordt het vervangvlees nog maar in een paar exclusieve restaurants geserveerd, maar dat moeten er <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/sustainable-business\/israels-redefine-meat-serves-up-plant-based-whole-cuts-beef-2021-11-16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tegen eind volgend jaar duizenden<\/a> worden. Redefine Meat gaat in Europa ook productiefaciliteiten openen, meer bepaald komend voorjaar in de Nederlandse regio Brabant. De nummer twee van het bedrijf is dan ook een Nederlander, Edwin Bark. De vegabiefstuk moet zo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standaard.be\/cnt\/dmf20211118_98002277\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">al in maart of april<\/a> in Nederland en Belgi\u00eb beschikbaar zijn.<\/p>\n<p>\nHet Isra\u00eblische bedrijf heeft vandaag ook al gehakt, kebab, worst en lamsteak in het aanbod. De vleesvervangers zouden 95% minder belastend zijn voor het milieu dan traditioneel vlees. De productie kunnen opschalen, wordt wel nodig om de prijzen toegankelijker te maken.
