Al voor de tweede keer dit jaar verhoogt de chips- en frisdrankmaker de vooruitzichten, aangezien prijsverhogingen de volumedalingen ruimschoots compenseren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meer over voor lekkers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Het totale volume daalde met 1% bij PepsiCo vorig kwartaal (tot 3&nbsp;september), en toch boekte de cola- en snackproducent 9% meer omzet. De effectieve nettoprijzen stegen immers met 17% en dat bleven de consumenten voor lief nemen. Om te besparen gaan mensen minder uit eten, maar trakteren ze zich thuis wel op wat lekkers \u2013 zoals Lay\u2019s&nbsp;Chips en Tropicana-fruitsap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De totale omzet klokte af op 21,97&nbsp;miljard dollar op een nettoresultaat van 2,7&nbsp;miljard dollar, zelfs nog licht meer dan de nettowinst van 2,22&nbsp;miljard dollar een jaar geleden. In Europa groeide PepsiCo met bijna 1%, meteen het vijftiende kwartaal op rij dat de Duyvis-producent de winstverwachtingen overtreft en liefst de twintigste keer op rij dat het bedrijf de omzetverwachtingen klopt, berekende FactSet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De toon gezet?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>PepsiCo is zo tevreden dat het zijn jaarprognose nog maar eens optrekt. In juli verhoogde de verwachte omzetgroei al van 8% naar 10%, nu rekent de rivaal van Coca-Cola zelfs al op +12%. Wel denkt de Amerikaanse groep dat de kosten in de tweede helft van dit jaar verder zullen stijgen. Als reactie zal de producent zijn kostenbeheersingsinitiatieven versnellen, onder meer door kleinere verpakkingen aan te bieden en te besparen waar mogelijk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Als eerste FMCG-reus die zijn kwartaalcijfers bekendmaakt, zet PepsiCo mogelijk de toon voor zijn collega\u2019s. In dat geval wordt het een feestelijk resultatenseizoen voor de merkfabrikanten, ondanks de weerstand die ze krijgen van de supermarkten. Die laatsten maken zich sterk dat consumenten steeds meer voor huismerkalternatieven kiezen en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/nl\/news\/food\/supermarkten-verklaren-de-oorlog-aan-merkleveranciers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stimuleren dat ook met scherpe reclamecampagnes<\/a>.
