De internationale e-commerce-omzet ondervindt een groeivertraging als gevolg van de inflatie en een dalend consumentenvertrouwen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lager dan verwachte groei<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022 was de totale online internationale online handel goed voor een omzet van 179,4&nbsp;miljard euro (exclusief reizen), een stijging met&nbsp;4,8% in vergelijking met&nbsp;2021. De lager dan verwachte groei is te wijten aan een moeilijk macro-economisch klimaat met uitdagingen in de toeleveringsketen. Toch deed de onlineverkoop het in de Europese Unie beter dan de totale detailhandel, die in&nbsp;2022 immers afvlakte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dat alles blijkt uit de Top 500 van Cross-Border Commerce Europe, het platform dat internationale e-commerce in Europa stimuleert. Dat rapport rangschikt de sterkste Europese spelers op basis van hun online cross-border omzet, SEO-indicatoren, het aantal landen waar de retailer actief is en het aantal en het percentage van buitenlandse bezoekers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minder multichannel retailers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In de top tien, die 18,7% van de totale omzet van de Top&nbsp;500 vertegenwoordigt, behoudt Ikea de eerste plaats, met een cross-border omzet van 5,6&nbsp;miljard euro (+1,8%). Lidl stijgt naar de tweede plaats, Zalando pikt de derde podiumplaats in. H&amp;M en Lego dalen naar respectievelijk de vierde en de vijfde plaats. Nieuwkomers in de top tien zijn Notino \u2013 een Tsjechische pure player in de verzorgingsbranche \u2013 en Adidas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het aantal multichannelretailers in de Top&nbsp;500 daalt, terwijl het aantal merkfabrikanten met <em>direct-to-consumer<\/em> (DTC) kanalen stijgt met 8,3%. Merken als Lego, Nespresso, Adidas en Philips, maar ook luxebedrijven als Richemont, LVMH en Kering, investeren in een betere directe aanpak om minder afhankelijk te worden van grotere marktplaatsen. Ook nieuwe \u201cdigital-native vertical brands\u201d (DNVB) groeien door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het aantal marktplaatsen in de hitparade steeg van 42 naar 49, met een recordomzet van 24,7&nbsp;miljard euro (+22%).
