Nog maar een kwart van de omzet komt inmiddels uit Europa.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>De nettowinst klokte af op 4,91 miljard euro, liefst 66% meer dan het jaar voordien en goed voor een nieuw record. Dat heeft vooral te maken met de 2,1 miljard euro meerwaarde die L&#8217;Or\u00e9al realiseerde op de verkoop van zijn aandeel in Galderma, de joint venture met Nestl\u00e9. De operationele winst bedroeg 3,98 miljard euro, hetzij 3,5% meer dan in 2013 en precies zoals topman Jean-Paul Agon voorspelde toen hij <a href=\"nl\/belgie\/b-drogmetica\/item\/19480-l-oreal-verlaagt-verwachtingen-2014\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in september de verwachtingen verlaagde<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>&#8216;Dermatocosmetica&#8217; en luxedivisie d\u00e9 groeimotoren<\/h2>\n<p>De sterkste groei komt van de divisie &#8216;Active Cosmetics&#8217; (+8,7% like-for-like), met dermatologische merken als Vichy en La Roche Posay, gevolgd door L&#8217;Or\u00e9al Luxe (+7,1%), waartoe onder meer de parfums behoren.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ook L&#8217;Or\u00e9al Professionnel, de afdeling met producten voor kapsalons, ging er 2,6% op vooruit in een markt waar nochtans de klad in zit &#8211; vandaar de beslissing van concurrent <strong>Procter &amp; Gamble<\/strong> om zijn haarverzorgingsmerk Wella in de etalage te zetten.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Grote merken zien aandeel dalen<\/h2>\n<p>Toch is het niet al peis en vree in Parijs: de grootpublieksmerken van L&#8217;Or\u00e9al (onder meer Maybelline, Garnier en L&#8217;Or\u00e9al Paris) zagen hun verkoop op vergelijkbare basis nog wel stijgen met 1,6%, maar de markt groeide meer dan twee keer zo snel (+3,5%). &#8216;Consumer Products&#8217; blijft niettemin nog altijd goed voor bijna de helft van de omzet.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Topman Jean-Paul Agon schrijft die mindere prestatie toe aan &#8220;de vertragende markt in de Verenigde Staten&#8221;, een gevolg van de &#8220;toegenomen concurrentie&#8221; van andere merken en een &#8220;beperkter aantal nieuwigheden uit eigen huis&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Body Shop tot slot, dat begin deze maand nog zijn <a href=\"http:\/\/www.loreal.com\/press-releases\/the-body-shop-international-announces-the-acquisition-of-its-australia-franchise-business.aspx?mediaType=cp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Australische franchisebusiness in eigen beheer<\/a> nam, realiseerde een omzet van 873,8 miljoen euro, een stijging met 3,7% op vergelijkbare basis.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Al 3,5% van de verkoop online<\/h2>\n<p>L&#8217;Or\u00e9al rekent meer en meer op e-commerce om de omzet sneller te laten groeien: online is intussen al goed voor zo&#8217;n 800 miljoen euro, hetzij 3,5% van de totale omzet. In China realiseert L&#8217;Or\u00e9al echter al een tiende van zijn omzet via e-commerce: er is dus nog flink wat marge.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;Or\u00e9al besteedt tegenwoordig ook zo&#8217;n 16% van zijn communicatiebudget aan online.
