Waren mobiele telefoons (in de volksmond lange tijd gsm\u2019s genoemd) in eerste instantie prima voor bellen, sms en wat simpele spelletjes, tegenwoordig zijn superkrachtige multimedia-apparaten de norm.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dit betekent niet dat e-mail weinig aandacht krijgt in de mobiele wereld. Het is integendeel zelfs \u00e9\u00e9n van de activiteiten die het meest wordt gedaan op smartphones en tablets: met 78% staat het ruim boven browsen (73%), Facebook (70%), het gebruik van navigatie (64%) en gamen (60%) op smartphones.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Het overvloedig gebruik van e-mail op mobiel is ook terug te zien in statistieken rond e-mailmarketing. In een artikel van begin 2015 laat Litmus zien dat maar liefst 53% van alle verzonden marketingmails geopend worden op mobiel (meting december 2014). Dit in tegenstelling tot de \u2018opens op desktop\u2019, die gedaald zijn naar 22%, en &#8216;opens via webmail&#8217;, die uitkomen op 25%.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Mobiel engagement kan nog beter<\/h2>\n<p>Hieruit blijkt wel dat e-mail op mobiele apparaten serieus genomen moet worden.
