In de Esprit Flagshipstore in Regent Street in Londen wordt sinds 30 november\u00a0 via een digitale installatie instore, online en mobiele marketing gecombineerd. Het digitale\u00a0 concept is gebaseerd op het archetypische Assepoesterverhaal. Voorbijgangers van de winkel \u2013\u00a0 en in Regent Street zijn er dat tot 16.000 per uur\u00a0 \u2013 worden door een virtuele schoonmoeder naar de etalage gelokt. Eenmaal je voor de etalage staat wordt er een foto van je gelaat gegenereerd en digitaal op de body van een model geplaatst. De voorbijganger kan zijn of haar virtuele alter ego allerlei Esprit kleding laten aanpassen en doorsturen naar de Facebook pagina\u2019s van Esprit. De online experience wordt ook doorgetrokken binnen in de shop. Geen slecht idee om de passanten zo snel mogelijk naar binnen te loodsen want enkele jaren geleden wilden de zaakvoerders van de nabijgelegen Oxford Street een minimumsnelheid invoeren voor voetgangers en geldboetes voor treuzelende passanten en window-shoppers om een einde stellen aan de aanhoudende conflicten tussen de \u2018schildpadden\u2019 en de \u2018jaguars\u2019 onder de voetgangers. In de shop staan digitale instore mediaschermen waarop je de outfits via een speciale code kan opvragen, aanpassen en doorsturen naar je PC of PDA. Zo komen we bij een tweede vitaal onderdeel van de installatie: de bleutooth server. Passanten en bezoekers van de winkel die de bleutooth functie van hun mobieltje hebben ingeschakeld ontvangen kortingcoupons en wedstrijdvouchers. \u201cWe hopen hiermee onze klanten een ongebruikelijke maar mooie interactieve ervaring te geven deze kerst\u201d, stelt Esprit in een mededeling. \u201cEn we hopen nuttige ervaring op te doen voor onze instore aanpak in de toekomst\u201d, denkt Retaildetail er bij.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Voorraadbeheer: minder sexy maar minstens even belangrijk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\nDe mobiele technologie levert niet alleen mooie klantenapplicaties. Ook naar voorraadbeheer toe is er heel wat mogelijk.De winkelketen HEMA, met meer dan 280 winkels, zocht een mobiele oplossing ter ondersteuning van het voorraadbeheer. Met het systeem dat onlangs ge\u00efmplementeerd werd, kan het winkelpersoneel direct voorraad bijbestellen wanneer de schappen leeg dreigen te raken, zonder de winkelvloer te verlaten. Door het systeem zijn de schappen beter gevuld en kan het personeel meer aandacht besteden aan het winkelend publiek. Het systeem, dat werd uitgerold in alle winkels, is gebaseerd op een PDA voorzien van het Microsoft Windows CE besturingssysteem. De mobile apparatuur is aangesloten samen met een instore server voor de bestelprocedure.
